Anthology quickly established a reputation as ‘new thinking for walls’. With its market-leading style, derived from a broad spectrum of European influences, Anthology’s fresh and creative finishes and textures bring definition and style to any contemporary interior. Anthology Studio designer Linda Thacker explains: “The Anthology Compendium was designed with longevity and usability in mind: the intention was always to add to the existing books, harmonising with existing designs, broadening the offer and, of course, keying in to current trends.

Anthology 05 is a ground-breaking range of papers, inspired by pleats, folding, form and structure. Targeted at the wider international market, the latest collection remains true to the brand’s core values, but introduces a richer palette of on-trend colours. With Anthology 05 we have tried to keep our fingers on the fashion pulse, whilst also remaining true to the Anthology ethos and maintaining enduring appeal.”

One of the Anthology Studio’s designers, Louise Draper, explains how the collection evolved: “Influenced by origami, I experimented with paper manipulation, tucking, gathering, crushing and crimping to create this beautifully tactile and versatile collection of wallpapers that has a distinctly cosmopolitan, global appeal.”

The nine wallcoverings over 42 colourways are wide-width (68.8cm) and printed on a mix of vinyl and paste-the-wall bases, using a variety of techniques, embosses and embellishments.

A broad spectrum of colours has been used to emphasise the sophistication and verstatility of the designs: subtle hints of oyster, shell and vanilla are complemented by saturated, vibrant tones of blood orange, citrus, peacock and kingfisher, which give Anthology 05 a more international feel and appeal. These shades are mixed with accents of metallics, including gold, silver, rose gold and copper, for added impact.
