A truly organic design, Onburu, meaning ombre in Japanese, reflects a symbiosis of modern art and the earth’s natural beauty. Derived from the earth’s seasonal shifts, it pulls from the natural mix of colours found in our landscapes. Painted onto a fibrous, non-woven paper, it elevates the expressive textures and enhances the blending of the colours. A freehand brush stroke experiment has given birth to a thing of natural beauty. The Rosewood /Seaglass colourway includes notes of baked terracotta, stone and taupe, with hints of ochre. Onburu in Canopy/Diffused Light is mineral in its tones, with chalky coastal shades of blues and greens reflecting a water-like quality.
