We’re all aware of our individual responsibility to contribute to the earth’s wellbeing & enjoying beautiful textiles shouldn’t come at a cost to this wonderful planet. Here are a few ways our suppliers are doing their bit for the environment.
Live Beautiful is Sanderson Design Group’s long term strategy for making their business more sustainable for the planet and its people. The company is working to minimise environmental impact and preserve their brands’ heritage by re-imagining the entire life cycle of their products, from the sourcing of raw materials through to the way products are manufactured and on to the process of sales and distribution.
To Live Beautiful means preserving our heritage & craftsmanship for future generations to enjoy. It means to live well with respect, care & compassion for our world & everyone who lives in it.
– Sanderson Design Group
The vast majority of packaging Sanderson Design Group uses is now made from recycled or recyclable materials. A sustainable, biodegradable plastic alternative made from sugar cane is now used for the packaging of fabrics and they have launched their exclusive eco non-woven substrate at Anstey Wallpaper, utilising 100% recycled PET (a 100% recyclable plastic that is made to be remade).
Sanderson Design Group are committed to being net carbon zero by 2030. This means they are working to balance the amount of greenhouse gases they emit with the amount they remove. As opposed to being carbon neutral, net zero places more focus on reducing carbon emissions as much as possible first, and only offsetting unavoidable, residual CO2 as a last resort.

Craftsmanship has been at the heart of Transylvania’s identity for centuries.
Mind The Gap’s focus is on supporting local artisans and minimising their impact on their environment, showing a great respect for their homeland and its people.
We are born & raised in Transylvania, surrounded by lush meadows & charming woodlands. Since very young, we are taught not only to cherish, but also to value everything that nature so generously provides us.
– Mind The Gap
Mind The Gap’s premium wall-coverings are made using non-woven substrates containing FSC certified cellulose, meaning the materials have been sourced using environmentally-friendly, socially responsible and economically viable ways. The printing process uses eco-friendly water-based inks and is carried out locally.
Fabrics are printed on natural fibres such as linen and cotton, and recently, the design house has removed all plastic components from their wallpaper and lighting packaging. They are in the process of applying this measure to the rest of their products.
Thanks to the work of our wonderful suppliers, we can now design a little greener by incorporating these environmentally conscious products into our interior schemes. Here’s to working towards a more sustainable future in the textile industry and in every area of our lives!
